GUINNESS Base returns — faithful to the original concept, but rebuilt and elevated for modern performance.
Just like the first release, this formula contains zero water.
Instead, the full liquid phase is 100% Guinness Beer, now enhanced with Aloe Vera Leaf Water Extract to deliver soothing hydration and a smoother post-shave finish. The beer contributes natural proteins, sugars, and minerals that dramatically enhance lather density and stability, while aloe improves glide and skin comfort.

THE PROCESS
Created through the hot process method, this base allows us to incorporate skincare-focused ingredients — including Squalane, Jojoba, MCT Oil, Abyssinian Oil, Panthenol, Silk Protein, and Aloe Vera Extract — after saponification, preserving their natural benefits.
And just like its original release, no water is used during production.
The formula is built entirely on Guinness Beer, enriched with Aloe Vera Leaf Water Extract, improving lather structure, glide, moisture retention, and skin recovery.
Beer naturally boosts foam strength, creaminess, and stability due to its sugars and proteins.
Aloe adds soothing, hydrating performance for comfort throughout the shave.
The result is a base that honors its original identity — and enhances it in every measurable way.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
WE DO NOT RECOMMEND BLOOMING THE SOAP (soaking it with water before use).
For Optimal Lather and Maximum Performance
- Load the brush for about 10 seconds — this base picks up product quickly.
- Lather in a bowl or directly on the face, gradually adding water.
- This base loves hydration — more water = thicker, slipperier, creamier lather.
GUINNESS Base has excellent water retention, allowing you to fine-tune the lather’s texture and density.
For optimal performance, add water generously.
Scent Strength Indicator
The Scent Meter Label beneath the jar reflects fragrance strength after lathering, not from the unmelted soap.
