HATHOR Base Shaving Soap
A close, comfortable shave with plush cushioning, glassy glide, and lingering slickness. After the rinse, skin feels soft, moisturized, and smooth—never oily or tacky.
Why “Hathor”?
Named for the Egyptian goddess of joy and nurture—often depicted in bovine form to symbolize her maternal and celestial aspects—HATHOR celebrates gentle care with serious performance.
The process
We make HATHOR using the hot-process method and then enrich it post-cook so premium additions remain unsaponified for maximum skin feel:
- Donkey Milk – naturally contains a suite of vitamins and minerals (A, B1, B2, B6, C, D, E; potassium, phosphorus, iron, zinc, sodium, calcium, magnesium, iodine, retinol). Leaves skin feeling deeply hydrated and comfortable.
- Murumuru Seed Butter – rich in fatty acids plus vitamins A, C, E; helps skin feel soothed and supple.
- Jojoba Seed Oil – skin-friendly wax esters with vitamin E and B-complex that support a calm, comfortable post-shave feel.
- Evening Primrose Oil – high in linoleic and gamma-linolenic acids (often grouped as “vitamin F”) for a conditioned, soft finish.

Directions
The soap is soft (croap). Do not bloom. Load your brush by swirling on the surface ~10 seconds. Build lather in a bowl or directly on the face. Add water gradually to increase density—the lather can hold a lot of water and whips into a luxurious, creamy, buttery texture.
Scent meter
A scent-strength indicator on the jar bottom reflects strength when lathered, not straight from the jar.
NaOH-free
HATHOR Base is Sodium Hydroxide (NaOH) FREE.
